The La Conner Quilt Museum, in the Gatches Mansion, will open September 5th with it¼s inaugural show entitled „One Collector¼s Eye.¾ The exhibition will feature approximately twenty large American antique quilts, collected from the Mid-West to Pennsylvania, dating from the 1840¼s to the 1940¼s. Ann Nash, of Bow, will curate the show. She describes it as a, „Mix of vintages and pattern styles, representative of particular quilting eras with an emphasis on quilts with graphic art qualities.¾ The exhibition will feature both appliqued and pieced works. The show will run through October 26th. Hours of the Museum are 11AM-5PM, Wednesdays thru Sundays. Fees are $3.00-Families $5. Members and children under 12, free.
